Chucky Cheese, August turns 4 months, August eats, and The Lake

I met Mel and Gracie at Chucky Cheese. Kennedy enjoyed it until the mouse(Chucky Cheese rat) started dancing on stage. It took what seemed like forever to calm her down. So, her new story to tell everyone is that “the Chucky Cheese guy scared me, even though he’s fake and I like the Chick-fil-a cow now.”

Mothers Day Trey bought crawfish in Houston and cooked it all up for the moms down at the lake. The kiddos enjoyed watermelon and playing with each other as the adults gorged on the food.

Yummy, Kylie

John enjoys the watermelon

Emma does too

Thunderstorm rolling in on our way to Devine to visit with grann, pawpaw, and Aunt Jan.

Kennedy got a hold of the camera while Trey was watching the girls....looks like they were having fun!

August is starting to want to sit up. She tries so hard to remain sitting straight, but before you know it she topples forward. At her four month apt. she weighed 14lbs 9 oz, 24 inches long, and head measured 16 1/2. Compared to Kennedy at this age, it appears that August is in sync with her sister. She has discovered her feet and rolled over for the first time, June 6. She's a thumb sucker and just started to eat cereal(more gets on her than in her mouth).

Kennedy fishing with her dad.....

Kennedy got bit by some ants. This was nothing compared to the cactus she stepped into later that evening while Trey and I were out seeing Sex and The City for my birthday. Mimi watched the girls so Trey and I could go out to eat and celebrate. While they were walking along to the boat dock, Kennedy stepped into cactus. When we got back to Sherry and Kirk's we had to tackle getting the thorns out. It was awful! Janet and Lynn Ellison helped hold her down while Sherry, Trey, and I tried to remove the stickers from her feet. A remake of the Exorist was occuring while we did the procedure. She fortunately recovered o.k. The next morning she was able to walk on her swollen feet. Then went she went and swam at Aunt Rita's and Uncle Phillips her tips of her fingers got blisters because she held onto the side of the pool and went around so many times. A rough weekend for the little girl.

Kennedy and cousin Kylie..

Kennedy had fun climbing into the dryer.

I think kiddo's love simple toys over any other. Kennedy made a house out of this box. She loved climbing in and playing in it.

Mom, Kennedy, Landry, August, and I went to the Lockhart movie theater June 7 to see Shrek III. This was the first time Kennedy and August ever went to a movie theater. I was concerned at first that we weren't going to make it past the concession stand. Mom was grabbing to get my tea and it spilt all over the place. Once we got it cleaned up we proceeded to the movie. I was so happy to see all the kiddos managed to sit through the movie. Thanks, mom for a great idea and for watching all the kids while Trey and I were at work.
