Melanie and I joined the Daughter’s of the Republic of Texas on November 14. We attended our first meeting and volunteered on that same day to be tour guides for the JB Wells home. This is a home that was built in 1885 and given to the DRT Gonzales chapter in 1999. My great-grandmother would be so proud of us .On Dec 6, Mel and I volunteered at the house during the Gonzales Winterfest Tour of Homes. Trey watched Mel’s boys and Kennedy at our house. As you can see in the photos….looks like they all had fun.
One weekend when we were down in Mathis, Trey built two kids size picnic tables. These are the photos of Kennedy helping paint one of them with Kilz. The next step that still needs to be done is to paint them yellow. Kennedy chose the color.
