Robin's dad had come into town from California, so we went and had a wonderful visit with him.
In August, she started being more verbal. She says ball, while doing the sign , and puts her hand out to say Stop. When the girls were playing on the trampoline, Alexis hollered Stop with her hand out and then took her pointer finger and shook it at them. We couldn't help but giggle. She tells us she wants to go potty so we take her. All she does is sit on the potty smiling then hops off and goes directly for the toothbrushes to stick in her mouth.
Trey was watching Alexis and he said she followed Curly with a wet wipe. She went outside with him and wiped his back side as if he had gone to the bathroom.
If I could take a snapshot of different memories and preserve them I would. Last night we were on the trampoline and had an ice fight. August wanted to have Kennedy experience it since she was away when we had our first ice fight. You had to watch for Trey he was sneaky about getting the ice down the back of your shirt. All the girls just giggled, including us.
I put a sprinkler under the trampoline the we moved the water hose to the top of the trampoline. The girls had more fun spraying one another and dancing. Alexis enjoyed being in control of the water hose.
We were watching the blood moon with Ralph and Patty and Ralph asked what the capitol of Mississippi was and Kennedy said Jackson. I was so surprised she knew that.
Alexis went to her 18 month appointment. She’s holding steady in the 60th percentile for her height(32 inches), 69% in weight(25lbs 5 oz), and 79% for her head(18cm). Alexis loves to climb, has started to perfect her jumping on the trampoline, loves her dog curly, loves to swing by herself(well , she points for you to sit in the swing next to her), is putting on clothes herself,
Kennedy had four of her eye teeth removed to allow for more room in her mouth. She was such a great patient. She looked at me on our drive home and said “mom, I don’t remember anything”. I was so glad to hear that.
Tooth Fairy left a note for Kennedy….see below. She ran into the kitchen and said “mom, she has special vision to see where the teeth are. “
Melanie showed the girls a new app-befunky which you can add funny stuff to pictures. Can you guess which pictures were done in this apps? Other photos include pictures of some of the girls friends playing with them and at one of the parades the school participated in.

Alexis loves to get messy when eating.
Kennedy went to her first week long overnight TBAR M Camp. Her and Carly were going to be roomies along with 8 other girls. We dropped her off on Sunday afternoon. My eyes had tears in them when they had one of their coaches run down a long line of people and had the kids jump in and run after them. Seeing my sweet little girl all grown up. Her camp counselor said how Kennedy was gentle and determined. She said Kennedy wasn't going to go on the blob but did after she said before she left for camp her dad told her that he really wanted her to do the blob...so she got the courage and did it for her dad. Yes, this made Trey very touched. Take a STAND was the theme and they learned about the armor of God.
Her sister's missed her as much as her parents did.
Lilah and August played with Alexis outside for awhile.
Playing in the pool at Mimi's and Kirk's. You love the water and being naked.
Jeff and Greg had paid for a suite for the Texans baseball season. We were able to go and enjoy the baseball game in style, selecting to sit inside the AC or outside on the balcony. Dad and his friend joined us.
We stayed at the Sheraton Hotel, walking distance to the baseball stadium. August ended up getting swimming ears from all the swimming we had been doing during the summer.
Rhonda and Adam asked if Kennedy wanted to go camping with Carley on the beach in Port A. The girls had a great time and I am so impressed that they slept in a tent on the beach. The mosquitos got them some.
The girls started school . August had her first official day of kindergarten. She went in like a champ. With having only a month break the transition seems to be easier for the kiddos to go back to.
Clifford, Sherry, and their kids went to Rockport to stay. We went and stayed a couple of nights with them. Had a great time playing on the beach and with their girls swimming in the pool. We ate at Charlotte Plumbers in Rockport one evening(where I would always go with Nanny and Papaw). A man and his wife handed out pillow pets to all the children. Sherry had brought a coconut for the kids to drink/eat from, it was entertaining watching her get it open.
Look who can fit in the Barbie RV!
August had an infection and one of her lymph nodes swelled up. With some antibiotics she was healed.

Skyleigh invited the girls to the high school cheer camp.
Both girls got to perform at the Lockhart high school football game. Connor
came along to show his support.
We went and watched Beah and Lucian play soccer. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand at the soccer fields then playing at the school playground equipment.
We went to Academy to pick cousin John something for his birthday. Trey thought this machete might be nice! In the end we got him a sleeping bag.
Playing at the park across the street from the dentist office.
Tyler and Landry playing around.
Alexis loves to wear the girls clothes from bottoms up. Here she has made her own shoulder shirt out of one of their panties.
For Trey's birthday present we got him some lederhosen's. They fit!
Carmel took the kids to the Dias Los Muertos play at Zach Scott... the kids loved it.
I had my first crash in the parking garage at work. I was coming down the ramp and an ex coworker was coming up the ramp. The air bag deployed and left me with the beauty. It was quick and realization it could all be over in an instant. Thank god we were both ok and going at a slow enough speed. I still had about 8K worth of damage.
Melanie and I took the girls to Taylor Swift concert in Dallas. It was awesome. We were on the floor close to the stage, so when she performed in her overhead walk ways we were able to get a great glimpse of her.
Girls are going as the girls from the movie Descendants for Halloween. Kennedy is going as Evie and August as Mal.
Paula's work has a suite at COTA. She asked if I wanted to go and see Elton John. We had a blast.
Alexis put the tin cans in a bag and shook them on a walk. She loves to make music.
Trick or Treating ....Mal and Evie.
Welcome to 40 years old Trey!
Eric and Laquana went with us to Tracy and Steve's annual Halloween party. Trey and I slept in the excursion. We woke up early because our backs were hurting.
Alexis pushing her grocery cart and baby on a walk.
Clayton and Miranda finally tied the knot. Had a great time at their wedding.
Trey and I took the girls and Connor to the Wurstfest carnival for some fun and rides. August dressed up and so did Trey. The outfit August is wearing has been in Trey's family since Aimee was born and they lived in Germany.
An early start to the Christmas wish list! Kennedy's
